@ponder is currently integrating a few new things on the back end: - ORM - New db - Monorepo - Cleaner schemas These are big upgrades that will greatly improve data reliability/integrity. We’re pumped. But that also means some near term hiccups as we rebuild the plane we’re flying. Nearing the end!

🔴 Notification Preferences are live! If you’re feeling a little overwhelmed by @ponder notifications, you can now make more granular adjustments. Just tap the settings icon in your profile. You can also remove the limit entirely if you’re an absolute savage. You’ll still only get notified about featured predictions curated by the Ponder team.

i see your point now. reading about the actual effectiveness of disbursement of funds it looks like the 7-year budgeting is slow and not all it's cracked up to be. spending is conditional and often rushed towards the final years ("use it, or lose it"), and it sounds like "checkbox spending", where gov'ts use the funds less efficiently to meet deadlines.

why jump straight to extremes? every government around the world approves annual budgets, because THINGS ACTUALLY CHANGE a lot within a any given timeframe. seven years is a big chunk of time. all you need is to look at the last five years, and figure out whether things stayed predictable or they kept changing i guess the all-knowing EU can read 7 years into the future

Moving forward, we're: - Keeping withdrawals disabled until enhanced security is in place - Implementing additional API security layers - Building more resilient auth patterns Happy to answer any questions on this. Security and transparency are our top priorities, and we're committed to learning and building better. DCs are also open 🤝

Update on today's incident: We've identified a critical vulnerability in our withdrawal API, where there was an exploit that allowed unauthorized withdrawals to bypass our security checks. We've frozen withdrawing funds on smart wallets until this is fully resolved. Most importantly - all smart contracts, admin wallets, and user smart wallets remain fully secure and uncompromised The root cause was an authentication spoofing technique in our API routes due to architectural constraints within our auth system. We've learned a lot from this exploit and are implementing more robust security measures to prevent a situation like this from ever happening again. All affected users will be refunded this week

a “seven-year budget”? they had to do one better over the “5-year economy plans” communists used to do back in the day. i guess central planning never went away, the only thing that changed was the label and the source of these plans.

this winter EU plans to launch its own CBDC which they plan to use to slowly replace fiat in order to have total control over our money talk about slowly boiling the frog as for medical bankruptcy: its there, but you can’t see it since everyone’s chipping in. doesn’t mean it’s working either: some patients need to wait about 10 months for specialist treatment such as neurosurgery the widely proclaimed “golden boy” of healthcare, the British National Health Service, has a >7M patient backlog and its hemorrhaging money like there’s no tomorrow on bullshit like DEI officers (because equality)
