if warpcast had ā€œstoriesā€ like Instagram, would you be interested in seeing parts of my day (or other farcastersā€™ days) that donā€™t necessarily deserve to be on main feed? i would use it almost daily and start allocating some of my instagram time here instead. hereā€™s me leaving the office today :)

These kind of photos are rad and Iā€™d want people to share them somehow but Stories feels like a conversational black hole with one to many participants. Itā€™s probably not the only reason but once it launched I feel like IG feed quality has completely sunk.

I'd attribute that more to the post permeance Feed posts felt like they had such permeance that people stopped posting ephemeral content to their feed Everything chronological and ephemeral here so I don't feel like it would cause the same issue That said fleets died fast so maybe there is something to that

hmmm i actually don't see it as post permeance at all. the fall of random content on main feed to me is bc: 1. rise of influencers w/ polished + curated content 2. launch of stories, so "unpolished" content went to stories 3. growth of user base = more competition = more visually appealing / engaging content on main
