@jessepollak tonight I was reminded that the Roman Storm legal defense fundraiser is only on mainnet, I'd love to use whatever small clankerdistribution I have to help push this. And I'd love to do that where our users have capital - on base

with respect, there are many reasons Juicebox is mainnet only for the time being, namely the protocol's architecture. I've shared some thoughts on that here: https://x.com/0xmatthewb/status/1799947702437806118. it's not as easy as "just go deploy it on [chain]".

to solve this, V4 is a new & ambitious omnichain version of Juicebox. it is a complex codebase with lots of moving parts and is currently in its third (and final) audit. expect to see a production deploy in Q1 2025 on Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, and mainnet.

Especially with optimism and Arbitrum, wouldn’t it just be a matter of relaunching the same contracts and adding a drop down on the last step of creating a project to select where to deploy it?

yes, what you’re saying makes sense. but the way that the protocol currently works is that project #1 of any deploy is where fees are paid. this project is owned by JuiceboxDAO and issues $JBX.

so, if you start yeeting the contracts onto n L2s, you’ll end up with…
