there’s a clear point of diminishing returns but with living expenses in north america it’s gotta be at least $200-300k/yr before it’s hard to spend for extra happiness. or a significant lump sum like $1M which could be so easily spent in an instant on a home. but beyond numbers, if you are unhappy at a more fundamental/spiritual level then no amount of money will fix that.
