I’m thinking a lot about silos. 

Farcaster requiring applications to farcon and denying people who are critical 

Brian Armstrong and other corporations offering huge payouts to employees to resign because they don’t align with “the mission” 

I fully understand why this makes things easier short term but I’m super skeptical how this makes things better for anyone in the longterm

Issues are issues and dissenters might just save a company and consumers one day

I also don’t see how you could run a community event at that scale without some degree of moderating attendees.

I’ve been to a number of them in LA and NYC. Venue was big, sponsors covered the cost so everyone had access.
