I’m into making clothing, there are cool niche communities around that in the most random places. 

Most of my friends who are academics or writers hang out at certain bars, on parts of twitter, instagram 

Niches form naturally, but why here? Trying to get past that cold start issue because I don’t post about my niche hobbies here, it’d get worse engagement

I get much better engagement on purple app when posting about my niche interests, perhaps because tastemaking is scarce in a “tech” context vs. IG which is much more dominated by creatives, artists, designers, etc.

not sure that I have the perfect answer to why this type of niche maxxing should grow on FC, but I suspect that every acct having a wallet and being able to use frames/bots creates the conditions for a creator economy to thrive sustainably.

I’m thinking it’s more about the particular people that engage with the casts then the algo picks it up then boom.

perhaps, but in my experience there's a significant difference in engagement vs. my casts about crypto
