same as radio, nobody being recorded can be monitoring on speakers

haven’t we got enough examples of adequate conversational recordings where the participants aren’t monitoring themselves

no way to monitor without headphones without audible feedback and/or artifacts from echo cancellation, unless there’s zero crosstalk but that’s rarely how real-world conversations take place

all of the biggest video podcasts (Rogan et. al) have guest + host wearing headphones, not a coincidence. very easy to end up with unintelligible dialogue due to echo/feedback imo.

agreed that artifacts and feedback can’t be managed in those scenarios. just feel like managing for those things aren’t as important on video
