Fair but a lot of us are lurking and learning, so do you mean people who open the app or only people who post? 

I’ve worked as a community manager for years. The bulk of people in community don’t post a lot. That varies depending on the community and what’s going on. It doesn’t mean they don’t have value.

to the extent that they're mostly commenting and liking and scrolling, tbc I'm not on the WC team but I'd think that would be considered active

having said that if you're lurking, wouldn't a non-spam feed be the best experience?

so is getting lurker members to feel included tho... hopefully there's some middle ground there

Dodging spam is probably always a good thing.
