If you haven’t listened to the Farcaster dev call, you should. There are some big changes coming to channels. 

I’m not sure how I feel about it yet. I do like how some of it sounds but I also have concerns about limiting the visibility of channel content. 

I’ll reserve judgement until learning more.

I’m worried. Many communities have curated their channels to purposefully give visibility to those who are normally invisible. We ensure they get on the main feed and get a chance to be seen. I worry this could make it even harder for new people. I hope I’m misunderstanding the intent of the changes.

afaik channel casts are still shown on the main feed!

Only if the person follows you and your channel. If they follow you but not your channel then it won’t land on their main feed. Essentially hiding channels or making them discoverable. If I’m not mistaking the new update it’s really bad. It’s tryna kill new channels and accounts. No wonder our growth is in the mud. Every step has helped bigger accounts and literally decimated newer/ smaller accounts
