big miss by nike... forces you to use a third party wallet (bitgo? wtf is that?)... just let me link my existing wallet. It's soulbound so can't even send it. huge L... the next wave of ethereum will be defined by the community social graph. GG nike, maybe next time.

I'd say it's more about the target. non-crypto users don't need to think about creating a wallet, storing the keys, paying gas etc.. they just made an easy way for you to buy a digital box. It's just a first onboarding for new users, so I don't think they'll stick with it.

but they didn’t completely abstract the crypto part, just partly. non users are going to wonder they need a blockchain to begin with! i’m firmly in the “show people the way but make it understandable” camp
