everyone dancing on the grave of humane, but idk. i feel most of the issues in the review could disappear with a new generation of models. or even better balancing of local vs remote. the overheating is the more concerning thing imo.

my gripe is that it could (and should imo) have been an iphone app. 

the chat gpt app is nice but there’s a huge opportunity for something better, and i was hoping they would have leaned into that direction as opposed to ship something that is obv not ready for prime time.

guess i disagree, "just an app" feels like why bother? plus you have to compete against whatever apple ships, with their unfair advantage of whole OS control.

i'm in the camp of wanting to use my phone less, standalone is the only way to reasonably get there

they have so many OG software ppl (ken kocienda designed the ios keyboard, imran designed the iphone home screen, etc…) that they could really push the boundaries, but right now the software feels hamstring by the hardware
