the security assumptions of discord are fundamentally flawed

the issue is that none of the web3 discord alternatives match the polish/quality of discord right now

I 100% agree on the security and quality points... but what about the UI? Do you think the discord/slack UI is the right one or are you thinking about others?

besides security the biggest issue with discord is their insanely hostile defaults

the tri column design seems to be mostly correct and has stayed the same since IRC

the UX improvements are coming from turning cryptic command line interfaces into GUIs

and with the data being open for public communities, we see custom third party apps being built soon

ie., searchcaster —> nftysearch

envisioning a dashboard of all connected messaging apps.
