I'm making a guide of the best spots to host meetups! Finding a space is not trivial, and it can make a huge difference in price and capacity. Some types of places that work well: - beer halls + food courts - "order then find a table" spots - game parlors - parks suggest some in your city below and I'll tip degen :)

example: zeitgeist in SF Mission is perfect. It has lots of outdoor space, you can buy pitchers of beer and trays of food, and it's super cheap. You can easily get 2-3 dozen people there without making a reservation or renting.

My personal favorite: The Luxembourg gardens Touch grass w/ frens in front of the beautiful chateau, with lots of cheap charcuterie and wine. Best part is that its free and you can stay till close to sunset! tbt to our Peeple Picnic ethCC'23 w/ @alec.eth @stefdelev @masha @medha @habibicarlson @mikec πŸ’œ

Frankfurt Germany: amazing local food with local drinks. Especially weekends during rush hours need reservations, can easily take 12+ with 3-4 day heads up or more without renting Has a lovely outdoor area too and is a class act. Classic old Frankfurt/german location since 1886 https://www.klaanesachsehaeuser.com/

Local co-working spaces - normally a lot cheaper, community oriented and have more of a vibe than the bigger corporate ones. Community art spaces - always quite spacious and uniquely decorated - good to provide conversation starters! Here’s an ex in Taipei: https://maps.app.goo.gl/vkEfWo5dno1riEtR9?g_st=ic
