I planted this red-flowering currant plant (native to Oregon) as a single twig last fall, and now itโs blossoming. I also set out my mason bee house and cocoons today, so they should start emerging later today/tomorrow as it warms up. Spring is here!!!

i loveee this plant. we get so many different species along the west coast and the fruit are delicious ๐

Iโm hoping the fruit on this one will be palatable, and that I can get to them before the birds and squirrels!

yeppp itโs that time again. iโm watching our elderberries bloom in socal, knowing their fruit likely wonโt make it past june (,: but i hope you get to enjoy some fruit & if not then enjoy knowing that other critters were able to โ๏ธ
