Added a few more strawberry plants to the pot! Now if only I could figure out a way to keep the squirrels off of them. Tried netting and the little bastards ate right through 🍓🐿️ 🤬

I considered using the arch framing you can sort of see in the pic and using wire mesh instead of netting, but I wanted to be able to let pollinators do their thing. Maybe I’ll try that now that there’s fruit.

4 legged predators aren’t fun.  

Not sure how you would make it aesthetic, chicken wire or hardware cloth would be the easiest way to guarantee they don’t get in…

It’s looking promising! I planted some espaliered apple and pear trees along my driveway a couple years ago and this is the year we get to let them fruit. At the end of that row is about a 4’ strip of strawberries and they’re going nuts! The pot is a new addition, but they seem happy there too.

They do sell powdered coyote piss at the garden store 🤢
