I’m halfway through it and honestly it’s hard to listen Eugene putting such emphasis on the For you algo, as if you couldn’t choose the chronological timeline and your following list.

I know, I’m a terminally online Twitter (and FC) user and it’s better for the average user. I also agree users suffer the effect of lower engagement because most of the followers consume it that way. But does it have to scale?

I really liked innovations in the area like Path’s 150 following or Plurk’s follower/friend. On the other hand both social networks didn’t have mass success.
