After a break, I resumed the development of Pincaster with a fresh start. While bookmarking and archiving will be supported again in the future, this version focuses on Search and Discovery, starting with books.

Whenever someone casts a link to a book URL (currently supporting Amazon and Goodreads), Pincaster automatically creates a book collection and adds the cast to the list. If the book collection already exists, the cast is seamlessly included (Collections and casts are updated every 24 hours)

New account creation for Pincaster is currently disabled. However, you can access the public-facing pages, including Explore. For those who had an account before May 22nd, 2023, all data will be removed.

Similarly to my motivation to start Pincaster a year ago, recent FIP-2 announcements have fueled my excitement to launch the current (very WIP) Pincaster. https://warpcast.com/dwr/0xfaa114

I envision a future where I can display all casts for each URL in a Pincaster collection, just like the original group annotation server http://1997.webhistory.org/www.lists/www-talk.1993q2/0416.html If you have any feedback let's talk! I'm matallo on TG
