Sol a gain ❤️ Solana annualized inflation rate surged by 30.5% following the implementation of a new priority fee distribution on February 12. As a result, the daily SOL burn dropped significantly from nearly 18,000 SOL to just 1,000 SOL. The change, introduced through Solana Improvement Document 96 (SIMD 96), redirected the total priority fees to network validators instead of allocating half for SOL burning.
