Does Atomic Heart deserve a chance? As I mentioned earlier, I decided to try Atomic Heart before it leaves the Xbox Game Pass catalog. I've played the game for about 12 hours. I tend to explore every story detail in games like this, so my hours/progress ratio is quite high compared to the average player. The game’s average completion time is around 16 hours, but I hadn’t even reached the outdoor areas by my 12th hour. Let’s start with the positives. Atmosphere-wise, it met my expectations to a certain extent. The looting system was enjoyable, and I appreciated how the lockpicking methods were varied rather than repetitive. The absurd dialogues with the machine we use to upgrade our weapons and abilities added some uniqueness to the game. The diversity in the abilities we could upgrade brought dynamism, and the character's movement abilities and weapon variety added to the enjoyment. --->

---> As for the downsides, the enemy variety and environmental design started to become monotonous, to the point where I had to quit the game before even leaving the facility at the start. I felt like we were kept in the same environment for too long from the beginning. I wish they had designed the environment so that we could revisit it later in the game. I also encountered a few ridiculous bugs; the character got stuck in one place, and the only way out was to reload the game. This became especially frustrating during combat situations. Overall, the content and gameplay aligned with my expectations. If I ever run out of games to play and catch it on sale, I’m thinking of purchasing it to finish.
