iirc he realized that he looked too skinny in the middle one and had some injections (fat? idk) in his face to look a bit rounder and more normal so to say. He talked about it on some podcast.

Full node and w3hub are two crypto co-working spaces. Also look for events at c base, that’s another cool place. There are generally quite a few events and meetups regularly, such as the monthly Ethereum Berlin meetup. In June there will be ZuBerlin, a two-week co-living/conference event.

Take some along the way and see how you feel. I find it helpful to have some goal or milestone in mind. Could be a cycle, race, weight/fat% or something else. Last I did before and after pics was for the F45 challenge, which was great motivation and helped me get really lean.
