farcaster has opened my eyes to the fact that a lot of crypto people actually do not understand huge chunks of crypto

i think a lot of early people here were more web3 than crypto. many hadn't been through a cycle.

it’s interesting because I got into crypto in early 2021 so didn’t really see the full cycle, but it’s definitely different from people who joined summer/late 2021

also depends how in the trenches you got

not much trench-getting-into happening on the token front. i remember people were asking what in the world $pepe was a month after it went parabolic. early FC adopters and enthusiasts here, myself included, were 200 follower Twitter flunkies, not particularly plugged in but saw an opportunity. it was an odd bunch, some of that cultural residue remains.
