starting to wonder if

The network will grow more and of better quality if we onboard people 1:1 or by simply doing our thing and letting others come to us

vs

sponsoring things and giving away tokens at scale (ie hundreds of receivers at a time)

to confirm or deny we probably need some “attribution” data or just vibes

Nouns

I actually think receiving tokens as first interaction isn’t necessarily bad, especially if some work was done to earn it

But at mass scale it definitely loses its value

I think there’s some truth here, and this is one of the things that makes me so bullish on projects like /nouns and /higher 

A person who buys into something is way more aligned than someone who is given something

Aligned participants a community stronger but is slower to grow

my working theory is that we focus on 1 and obvious opportunities for 2 will inevitably arise

do our thing and let others come 🤲 ↑
