This is awesome. I saw this right away...BASE × Zora’s contentcoin push was the first time a whole new generation of creators truly resonated with crypto-native tools… even as it alienated many OGs. Why? Because the message, while “cringe” to OG crypto people, is simple, sticky, and paradigm-flipping: Coin everything. To create is to coin. Let the market sort out the value of any one coin. That’s way more understandable than messages like “only coin culturally relevant memes” (pump dot fun) or “only coin art” (foundation) or “this isn’t about money; it's about decentralized social expression” (decentralized social networks). Those messages are all loaded with embedded shame, gatekeeping, and pre-curation (is THIS culturally relevant? is THIS art? am I doing THIS for money? [result: content stuck in drafts]) “Coin everything” flips the default. And the default is the fault. You don’t overthink the cloud when using cloud-based networks. Why should crypto be any different?
