the better i feel now (mostly thanks to emdr), the more i realize how bad i felt before. i tried to be happy, but most of the time it was easiest to settle for contentment do you think you could be a mainly joyful person if you tried? if yes, how do you maintain your joy? if no, what keeps you from finding joy? https://frame.weponder.io/api/polls/10145

I was lucky to have been born with a joyful personality. Also playful. I believe joy is innate, but doubt and sadness are mostly learned from others. Look inside and see that the true you is gazing out at the world full of miraculous wonder, fun, and beauty. Don't let anyone get in your way.

very lucky indeed! i think joy is innate, too, we just have different levels of things we’ve had to overcome in life to get back to it
