unpopular opinion: 

expecting corporate-style professionalism from artists is diabolical and goes against everything we need to do our best work

in creative flow the outside world doesn’t even exist. time is gone. we forget how to use words. memories are often erased

meeting our most basic needs (like eating enough) is nearly impossible, never mind taxes and replying to emails

we are feral creatures by definition and cannot be expected to be brilliant and also comply with social norms

when i was working on my solo saas business, it was super hard to switch modes between building and selling, so i would do like month long sprints of one exclusively then switch brains entirely into the other gear.

it sucked and one of the reasons i stopped but feels super necessary to "make it" solo.

wonder if there's a world where artists have cofounders? 🫠
