i asked chatgpt for a tldr of this book, and this point is interesting: “A key point is that moral integrity (cultivating virtues like patience, honesty, kindness) is essential to open genuine spiritual insights. Without a moral basis, advanced spiritual practices can lead to distorted or unhealthy experiences.” i totally agree. in my experience, positive intentions and ideals have been intensely powerful when it comes to opening deeper intuition and knowing, and in becoming what you might call a more “spiritually powerful” person and positive beliefs in general keep you sane while levelling up. it’s extremely easy to become unbalanced if you’re not willing to let go of negativity as you progress. it’s like turning on a blocked firehose—dangerous, painful, and destructive
