Never watched it because my friend described it as “Pride and Prejudice meets Gossip Girl meets soft porn” which frankly sounds awful But my mother-in-law, who is otherwise a very sensible lady with decent taste, watches it “for the costumes” in her words. Should I watch it? 🤣

The first season is exactly as you describe. Gratuitous and kinda gross. The second season is more pride and prejudice or a 90s will-they-won’t-they style romance. Way better!
