I’m feeling this right now with my writing. My time-stealers are airdrop farming and scrolling twitter about airdrop farming, while I tell myself I’m “ruminating” on how to approach the next novel or short story.

How did your daughter inspire your renewed fire?

Quit my soul-sucking corporate job to write novels, and now I am poor.

That’s amazing. She is an inspiration to us all.

She was playing catch with her uncle and cousin (both much larger than her) and absolutely putting her whole soul into running down the ball every time.  She was doing this in her sandals and skirt.

It’s inspiring to see someone trying their hardest, even when they aren’t equipped to win. She’s such a G
