longevity is literally about quality though you're thinking lifespan but longevity spend as much time on healthspan

I’m in favor of helping older people stay healthy But extending the lifespan as an explicit goal feels weird to me

again, lifespan is not the only goal, the healthspan (the term for "helping older people stay healthy") is used as often (if not more often) as lifespan when talking about longevity

Yeah I understand the goals are intertwined but I suspect some people use healthspan / “longevity” umbrella term to mask their interest in living forever

living forever *and* still having good health in the meantime are *both* the goals of the longevity research you sus about people tangent to longevity is correct but they are tangent
