Maryam Mirzakhani was an Iranian mathematician and professor at Stanford University. In 2014, Mirzakhani won the Fields Medal. She is the only woman and the first Iranian to win the Fields Medal. His research field included Teishmüller's theory, hyperbolic geometry, ergodic theory and convolved geometry.
