continuum by Ryoji Ikeda (2018) This book contains essays, documentation of various site-specific sound and audiovisual installations between 1993-2018 and beautiful full page details of the meticulously crafted visual elements of these works. š: https://shop.alminerech.com/products/ryoji-ikeda-continuum-book You can find more of Ryoji's projects here: https://www.ryojiikeda.com/project/datamatics/ I also highly recommend listening (with š§!) to Ryoji's work on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/5y835stYdAVOoNOq5EBMxz

I remember seeing Ikeda play in a venue under the railroad arches in Vienna, maybe 2002, with @liasomething. You could tell his ideas were different. Minimal sinus tones right on the verge of painful. š 30 $DEGEN

Thanks Marius, very jealous! I haven't seen him live yet (I missed his show in Manchester a couple of months ago and still getting over that) - but love the work. Agree some of the tones/tracks can be "challenging" - I have tried to work to them before and after a couple of hours felt very strange! haha I particularly like "headphonics [VPRO version]::+/-[VPRO version]" from the Mort Aux Vaches album, and would love to experience his installation work in-person.
