One of the complaints that I hear A LOT is “The OG casters just ignore anyone who’s not in their circle. This leads to resentment for some people. But I wanted to share a different perspective. You don’t need to get a response. Instead, focus on finding friends that you can grow together with. In short, don’t worry about the current OGs. Make your own!

It sucks on here for a newbie, my friend I onboarded 5 days ago got into spam because literally no one replied her Feeds shows bigger accounts for new comers Now she ended up in spam

I don’t think your friend is “in spam”. That frame is sooooo misleading. New accounts can start off in the see more replies section until they establish themselves. She’s very likely not spammed, just new. Please stop using that frame lol

So here’s how I try to think of it. If every new account that joined could have their comments seen right away, spammers would just spin up new accounts every time they got in trouble. So when you have a new account, it sits in a little “sandbox” for a bit until the algo can determine that it’s not spam. My take isn’t technically minded and might not be completely accurate but it makes sense to me. Definitely don’t worry if she’s only 5 days in!

I got mislead because it was like 3 of them that joined , she was the only one that was marked as spam after her first day here. It was very confusing.

This does make sense, but also I would love if someone who is technically minded would look into it and see if people are indeed getting out of that "sandbox" or if the more replies section is more like a black hole... @rjs is the Dune "good replyooor dashboard" already in the works?
