If you have any doubt that Warpcast channels can rival subreddits, look at /memes. It features better memes than I find on any of the subreddits built for that purpose.

Totally agree! 
But that channel is tightly curated and that's why 😇 which I think is great, don't get me wrong but requires a lot of efforts.

I don't know how tightly curated it really is. I'm pretty sure Jonny just hides stuff  that is definitely not a meme, but he doesn't place any judgement on whether it's funny or not. At least from what I've seen, including in a video where he showed his process for the /memes hypersub.

Ahh, interesting. I'll have to tune into more of the podcasts then. That's awesome to hear either way. I think the channel does an awesome job of showcasing what's possible here, even if it takes a bit more curation to do so.

I’ve heard him talking about it in the pod and it seemed he’s really putting a lot of efforts into curation … and also thinking about the fact that any curation is basically opinionated influence and how to limit that
