With the creation of the /insider-trading channel, I’ve realized just how many people are learning to trade. So, tonight we’ll talk about trading strategies! Here are a couple that I think are important: 1) Layering out to take profit: One of my biggest challenges has been knowing when to take profit and when to hold. I tend to either sell too early and miss the majority of profit or hold too long and round trip stuff. Lately though, I have been layering out of positions and it works much better. Things are pumping? Sell 25% and re-assess. If it keeps running, keep taking some off the table. But always leave yourself a moonbag - unless you’re sure it’s all deadweight. 2) Cutting your losses. Sometimes you have to cut a position at a loss to put the money to better use. This shouldn’t be done lightly though as it’s a quick way to burn through your funds. That said, don’t be afraid to cut a loser. What about you? What trading strategies do you use most often or find the most effective?

Buy high, sell low! But really, keep a moon bag (I'm real bad at this), take profits (I'm bad at this), and don't try to chase after a bad loss (also bad at this).

I’d recommend putting your tokens in categories, such as: -long term holders (put them in a hardware wallet and forget about them) -passive income (use these in lps to earn rewards) -speculative (generally hold for very little time) develop your own plan for your tokens

Those are top tier strategies! I'm still working on getting my emotion under control when dealing with crypto, it's hard as shit 😂 The one strategy that I think I've gotten in my head now is to take initial + some profits & let the rest ride out. The other is, if you catch a trade going downhill where you can still pull out and put it somewhere else to recover, try that. Sometimes you can miss the boat though, and in those cases, I just hodl & hope for a miracle lol🤞🏾

Very similar to yours, I’ve learned how to take profits and be happy with it even if it continues to run. Timing the top and bottom are almost impossible and you will drive yourself crazy trying to catch them. Free moon bags are probably the safest way. If it goes up 30 percent and you feel uncertain, sell the principal and hold the 30 percent. Easiest hodl around

One of the biggest challenges is not to over react and dont over trade! I have done both. Reacting can leave you wrecked! You finally get your bags where you want them. Someone sells and you see it plummet in seconds. Chances are you sell at the bottom only to see it recover minutes later. Shit feeling but happens to the best of us! Trading to much can cause you to pay more fees and could eat away at the profits you were trying to make in the first place! Best of luck!!!

I'm trying to learn. After several failed purchases, I can no longer sell early and take advantage of the opportunities.

Most importantly risk management especially when leverage trading knowing how much you are willing to lose without having a mental breakdown and the right amount your willing to give the market if it goes the wrong way. From my Experience Trading Patience is the most powerful skill you can have, waiting for the right setup and avoiding rushed or fomo trading really goes a long way in this market. One last thing is your strategy I basically call it your do’s and don’t for example you never trade when the 50EMA is consolidating through candles, Fade the short term trend over the longer term trend, last tip if your on a losing streak right now when next you want to place your trade put your order where your stop loss normally would be most people put their stop loss a tick or two below the last low which the market will always go to in search of liquidity Thanks for reading and I wish you success in your trading Journey

Assuming you entered well. In a bull market, you should refrain from pressing the sell button. The urge to sell will be very great, but you have to endure it. And I have to draw the picture that I want. I need to analyze the target I invested as much as possible and collect a lot of information. Only then can you make the maximum return. Selling is art. Something we must remember!

Thanks for the advice, I prefer not to be greedy as this can have bad consequences. I believe that you can't earn all the money in the world, so it's important to do so🤔

Great insights. Layering out to take profit is a solid strategy for locking in gains while leaving room for more upside. I also like using trailing stops to protect profits and minimize losses. Curious to hear what other strategies people are using.
