How do we keep this unique, open, and respectful culture as Farcaster continues to grow? The vibes here are part of what makes it so much different from legacy social media platforms.

I believe that it will not deteriorate if we support it and show new Farcaster users this very atmosphere. It all depends on the people and the relationship between them, in the days that I have been here, I have never observed negative content

The key to keeping Farcaster respectful is to build on the open data structure and surface tooling that promotes deeper connections among people. Find others will common interests first, and relate on a personal level, then open discourse and discussions of conflict. I have no relationships on X, here I do.

Great question. I think tipping culture helps curtail inflammatory trolling and other disrespectful behaviors. People don’t want to burn bridges or get a reputation for being an asshole as that would ostensibly lead to fewer tips. Definitely goes beyond that though. As someone else already mentioned, think we, the early adopters, need to continue to set a good example for the next waves of casters. Not sure if those two things alone will be sufficient if/when FC really takes off… it’s an important facet to keep in mind and experiment with. 20 $degen
