When to hold and when to fold. When you’re holding an investment that hasn’t run yet, how do you decide what to do? Do you wait it out, trusting it’ll pop, or cut your losses and put the money into something showing real momentum? This is something that I am still learning through practice. I tend to hold losses for too long and sell winners too fast. Weighing patience versus opportunity cost can be a real challenge! What’s your strategy? How do you make the call when everything is pumping except your bag? 😂

Great question. For me this is when fundamentals come into play. If the fundamental case has not changed then I hold and potentially keep adding to my position depending on my exposure level. If it's purely a technical trade then I should already have stops and take profit levels built in so I would just wait for one of them to hit unless I needed the capital for a trade that looked more profitable short term.

What if the token has amazing fundamentals but might not move much for a long time and you know there are coins that will move more and sooner? I guess this is also about position sizes and being overexposed.

Yea it depends on your capital. You want to take the trade with the best risk reward. In regards to closing out, if you don’t need the capital and you still think it’s a better return than a guaranteed 5% or whatever you can get on a stable then leave it alone.
