It's that time! HumpDay AMA with @nonlinear.eth is here! Jonny has been building on Farcaster longer than almost anyone and has a lot to say about what it takes to build a great product. The AMA starts NOW ⬇️

what is your founding/employee journey and what is one strength that comes from big corps that someone whose never worked for one might not recognize

worked at hp for 1.5 years, google for 6, and freelanced for startups and big tech cos for a number of years before founding fabric the benefit of working at a big corp is you can specialize. being a good founder means being a good generalist. but its also important to be an expert in at least 1 thing imo. that takes time and focus, which is more common at a big co compared to a small one because there are so many more people

Jack of all trades < master of one. What is your expert skill? Is it design? Cause if so, I can see it.

Adding in that i think/hope AI shifts the playing field a bit in the generalists favor since they can more rapidly increase skills in almost any of the generalist skill buckets. What took a year now takes months (imo) master generalist 😭 (answering anyway) probably a lot of big corpos just enjoy the free time afforded by ai; still love the answer tho
