Sometimes, the biggest setbacks can lead to the most important changes in our lives. A moment that feels like failure can be the push we need to grow, shift direction, or realize what matters. For me, it was getting arrested, losing my career and sense of self. At the time, it felt like I had lost everything, and there was no coming back. I was doomed to a life of mediocrity. But in reality, that experience forced me to make some big changes in my life. I got clean, I rebuilt my confidence and today, I’m in a better place than I’ve ever been. That low point was the catalyst I needed to really change. What about you? What’s a failure or setback that turned out to be a blessing in disguise?

Letting my previous job get to the point of destroying my mental health completely was the low point. I turned to any kind of crutch I could find to help me get through it which was even more unhealthy.. turned out I just needed to remove myself from that situation, that city, everything, and start again somewhere else which lead to where I am now the most successful I have ever been in my life.

I can relate to this. Portland is that city for me. It’s just not healthy for me long term. Way too easy access to every drug imaginable and way too little opportunity to distract from it.

The woods is definitely my vibe too. Trying to get a bag so I can buy a house in the middle of fucking nowhere.
