Seriously, if you’re over 35 and you have to move, just hire movers. All your friends are too old and already hurt their back. But you know me, I can’t say no…

Man, i have moved no joke like 35 times in my life, my past 2 biggest moves was hiring movers because asking help from my brothers is one of the worst experiences anyone can go through! Hiring movers is the way!

Wife tells me the same thing. At this point in your life, just hire movers. If they break something, they have insurance. If your buddies break something, you still have to buy them pizza and beer afterwards. 🤣

I will usually offer a specified amount of my time. i.e. like sure I can help for two hours, I'm good with heavy stuff, so let me know when you want me there to lift heavy things, for two hours lol

Agree, plus moving is too stressful ugh. Our last move from CO to FL they came packed everything up, and I mean everything, didn't have to lift a finger, just sat on the porch and read a book for 2-3 days while they did all the hard work.

haha.. i’ve moved over 15 times since joining the navy. most of the time, the navy covered the moving costs, but i still had to prep everything, and it’s no joke. lots of bending, back and forth, and now my lower back isn’t working right haha still good vibes answered the call😂

Perhaps it's pride or not wanting to inconvenient others, I prefer to hire people to do things than ask around for help to be done. Others have things going on about and I feel like a nuisance always asking. Meanwhile, I can't resist when asked.
