The Meta AR glasses are cool until you find out that they are $10K and you can't buy them.

Say what you want about the Vision Pro (they 100% botched Day 1 content and getting developers to build), it's $3K and available for sale. Expect v2 and v3 to get cheaper and lighter.

You're not going to beat Apple by shipping cool concept videos with journalists.

I’ve had vision pro since launch day. I haven’t used it for more than 15 minutes in months. It’s not as good of an experience as I had hoped for. Eye strain is real.

But, I do agree that they will iterate better than anyone else. I just wonder how much more they can do with current/soon to be tech. Maybe im behind on what’s out there.

Agreed. The immersive library was awesome but so limited. Like 15 minutes each or something. Just enough to show you what was possible but not enough to keep you on it. 

I actually do like the approach of having the battery in the pocket, unlike most people. I think AR/VR companies could even take that farther. Pack a whole computer in your pocket and make the eye part as light and as comfortable as possible. 

We already have computers in our pocket. Why not let all the processing be done there and just use the visual space for rendering.

I think the big miss was Apple using it's massive content division to have a steady stream of only on Vision Pro content. Use it for 30-60 minutes a week for entertainment would have been better than sitting a closet.
