On this day in 1800, one of the most badass dudes in American History was born. Abolitionist John Brown who is remembered for leading an assault against the federal arsenal at Harpers Ferry, Virginia. He did this with the goal of arming southern slaved and starting a rebellion.

And he looked like a straight boss too!
