The economic opportunity for channel hosts is pretty incredible. Not only do you own the channel itself, you also have a direct financial relationship with subscribers. I can’t think of another online distribution channel outside of email where this exists.

Totally agree! I actually am taking full advantage of this with /hypersub by @nonlinear.eth! I created a gated channel called /success that requires a subscription to cast in. Already at 150 subscribers in 1 week. I believe this is the future. Premium channels with a small cost attached. I hope I'm right!
