with the emergence and proliferation of AI-generated content, i believe we will have to shift from a default-true to default-false mental model when interacting with online content. but holy shit do you know how depressing it is to assume the worst in everyone, which to me is to assume that they are inauthentic?

I have been thinking about this a lot lately. I think we are intrinsically getting better at filtering inauthenticity and AI responses subconsciously. Or at least, I feel like that's happening with me already. Recently, especially with Moxie, I have found myself skipping over comments that I would have engaged with months past. And what's weird is that I don't consciously give it much thought anymore. I just kinda see past it. I hope this continues to happen even more as AI proliferates. Maybe we can all 'develop an eye' for it. idk. 🤷‍♂️
