Currently if you stake more DEGEN than is needed for a 10k allowance the excess allowance is still allocated to you. You are just not able to tip it so these DEGEN are lost.

A better way would be to distribute these excess $DEGEN to the stakers who have <10k allowances.

Since some over-stake Degen, part of the tip allowance pool becomes unavailable to everyone. Any ideas on a fair way to distribute those locked tip allowances to both over-stakers and other users? Someone staking a few million Degen should get some perks. We’d love to hear your thoughts!

Per @reneecampbell, maybe it's as simple as just sharing the whale overstake among the bottom most stakes (ie, 10k stakes) evenly. No one would get much and nothing would be wasted by whale aggression.

Exactly! The top don’t need any extra perk. We all knew what the limit was set at.

How would this affect staking trends generally?

It would ensure that the 4.5M announced is really allocated daily (fulfilling what was announced is essential, thinking that people believed the announcement and put money in the vault for 3 months)
