I feel like it depends on the type of newsletter. If it’s business, maybe early Monday morning, but you’d be in high competition…so maybe late Sunday afternoon for the early preppers. If it’s a parent newsletter, maybe evening after the kids are asleep.

This is great insight, thank you! Makes sense for business and for parenting. Wdyt about publish time for a tech/crypto newsletter? Trying to think if people in tech have a particular they like to go through their emails.

It would be a total guess for me…but I’d assume early morning. Your subject line and content would have to be 🔥tho cuz everyone sends their newsletter in the morning.

I've been doing 8am EST on Saturday's but I do feel a better tagline would help catch people's eyes. Every newsletter is just called "Next in Tech - [next Sat's date]" and the tagline is super simple. I wonder how much change in copy can affect my open rate.

Thinking for myself, Saturday morning would be the least likely time I read or open anything. I’d assume similarly for others. Especially with the trend of trying to unplug for a day or some amount of time…Saturday is probably the ideal time to do that.
