Well, taste is important. But I think if we dig deep into the reasons certain folks grow and sustain influence, we’ll find pretty deep and convincing reasons rooted in human psychology. 

When I’ve done this for content/brands whose popularity seems surprising on the surface, things become more clear…

Also lots of this understanding came to me over the past 7ish treads from doing lots of psychedelics, mainly lots and lots of ayahuasca, which has shaped so much of my understanding of our psychology, and why things are the way things are. And why things happen. And sky we love things or hate them:-)

It’s kinda complicated. I’ll think on how to explain it more clearly but when it comes to these things, there’s always more than meets the eye. And the reasons although simply human and emotional are burried under the baggage of assumptions, our ideals of fairness & our judgement.
