Has anyone been reading up on EigenLayer? I want to be optimistic but it feels like a mistake given the current state of crypto with regulators. Any thoughts? https://mosaicnetwork.co/question/1687171119664x928665224380998900

I’m not familiar with their product but if the product is deeply technical to use then I don’t see why someone needs to be protected. I can’t go deep sea diving and take a shark cage. I’d personally prefer the risk remain discoverable than assume we have all the knowns, at the edges anyway

I’m not following your logic. The people that should be protected are the “investors” who are staking their funds. But also all Ethereum users because shared financial resources would reduce the overall security, I assume.

I don’t see why shared security will inherently reduce security unless it’s opening a new attack vector. I don’t think investors dabbling in experimental products need protecting, they need tools and they need to know what they’re doing, but they’ve proven that by picking up something technical 🤷🏼
