At the end of March MFT closed on an easement with the addition of an OPAV on Milliken Field in Albion, 30 minutes north of Belfast, in the heart of Maine’s dairy country. This was the second farm property we’ve protected with owner Robert Milliken, who’s original home farm is just down the road. The 39 acre property includes 13 acres of open land with excellent agricultural soils capable of supporting a wide range of agricultural uses. Currently Rob utilizes the fields for a commercial hay operation. We are excited to welcome this addition to the Forever Farm Network!
