CVE-2024-46341 It was discovered that TP-Link TL-WR845N(UN)_V4_190219 transmits base64-encoded credentials that can be easily decrypted by an attacker performing a man-in-the-middle attack. Using CWE to declare a problem results in CWE-300. The product does not adequately verify the identity of the participants at both ends of the communication channel or does not adequately ensure the integrity of the channel in such a way that allows access to or influence the channel from a participant who is not an endpoint. 📈a16z crypto report finds cryptocurrency activity and usage at all-time high. A study published Wednesday by a16z crypto, the web3 venture capital arm of the investment firm Andreessen Horowitz, found crypto activity and usage are at an all-time high this year. The report estimated around 617 million global cryptocurrency owners, with up to 60 million monthly active users, as of September. Monthly active crypto addresses climbed above 220 million in 2024, with Base at the top for Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) chains at 22 million addresses and Solana dominating non-EVM chains with over 100 million addresses. This year also saw the highest number of mobile wallet users, with the United States comprising 12% of global users. Additionally, Ethereum's Dencun upgrade and the inclusion of EIP-4844 in March of this year helped increase the ETH value on Layer 2s by 36%, with the percentage of Layer 2 payments of Layer 1 fees falling 94%, the report continues.

Don't Nod announced staff cuts due to financial difficulties - up to a quarter of employees can be fired At the end of September, the company published a financial report for the first half of the year, in which it reported, in particular, that, despite high estimates, sales of Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden and Jusant were lower than expected. This led to losses for the studio as well as the cancellation of two unannounced projects. In a recent interview with IGN, the head of Don't Nod, Oscar Gilbert, said that the measures taken by the studio since spring to correct its situation no longer seem sufficient for it to maintain its competitiveness. "As a result, today we presented our employees with a company reorganization project that can take Don't Nod to a new development trajectory," Gilbert added. According to IGN, the reorganization could result in a reduction of up to 69 employees. At the moment, the studio staff consists of about 320 people.
