If they tell you that crypto can “undermine currencies, undermine the role of USD as the reserve currency, and destabilize nation states,” it probably should. Clearly reflects that we've been standing on weak and hollow foundations of governance & monetary policy for decades that should've been replaced long back.

There wasn't much of an alternative for the state currency until satoshi's paper. Change of currency takes decades but crypto currencies serprisingly grew really fast. Give take 10 years we can see it widely used imo.

Have you listened to Mehrling and his lectures on banking? Very important context on global financialization that all crypto people can see. You have to remember the system we have evolved to serve a need, and they didn't have the internet during this evolution. I don't think we should vilify them or their concerns.
